There are three assignments in the course, they are as follows:
1) Ohkakiiyosit (notice deeply and be wisely aware): you will keep a visual journal to document how your relationship with the place deepening over time?
2) Ahsokiniksii (when knowledge branches out, and circles back): You will self assess on the ways you have sought to contribute to ethical relationality and collective learning.
3)Aitsiniki (telling a astory): you will compose a digital story to represent your land based learning.
There is no text book for the course.
Josh is an Assistant Professor of Education at MRU and specializes in Indigenous led Land Based Learning. He is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and his ancestors trace back to the historic Métis community in the Red River Valley and to European Settler communities. He was born and raised in Calgary.
