What is your current position? How long have you been in this position? Can you give us a brief overview of what it is you do in your work?
I am currently an Associate Systems Engineer at the Walt Disney Company for the past year-and-a-half. In this role, I develop and implement security solutions for future and existing systems throughout the Walt Disney Company.
What skills do you need to do the work you just described?
Knowledge of Programming Software: C#.NET, XAML, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, R, Autodesk Revit, Visual Basic 6.0, AutoCAD
Knowledge of Security Software: Genetec Security Center, Lenel OnGuard

Please describe any experiences at Westlake High School that influenced your career decision?
The science curriculum at Westlake High School challenged me to ask questions on how things operate in order to achieve a better understanding of how the world around us works.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
Even though I am employed by the Walt Disney Company now, I was not always interested in working for Disney. Throughout my years as an undergraduate, I desired to work at Lockheed Martin.
What advice do you have for students interested in going into your field?
Remember that your career is not always a straight road. You will hit curves and bumps along the way that create complications. When this happens, remember to stay strong and never forget your goals and/or ambitions.
