Unit 8: Diversity

Students will explore the classification of living things and the diversity of life on Earth. They will study various ecological interactions and use phylogenetic trees as a way of showing evolutionary relationships. Adaptions and ecological significance of organisms will be studied across the different biomes. Comparative dissections and station investigations will stress the adaptations within and variation between certain groups of animals. Students will survey local flora and botanical samples to study plant diversity.
