We all know it’s a difficult time for our Kiwi youth to be graduating and entering an uncertain work force, and here at Au Pair Link we wanted to reach out and offer your school leavers an employment opportunity they may not have thought of.
At Au Pair Link we place au pairs to live-in with host families and care for their children. We have heaps of fully screened families looking for au pairs to start RIGHT NOW! Unfortunately, we cannot fill these au pair roles like we normally would due to the borders being closed, so we would like to offer this opportunity to Kiwis in need of employment.
It is a great option for students who were perhaps planning on having a gap year and are now not able to travel or for those who would like to move out of home and see a different area of New Zealand, without the pressure of finding a flat and paying bills. For students interested in working in childcare we offer the option to study for their Level 4 ECE certificate during their placement – they can earn an extra $50 each week and receive a $500 completion bonus!

Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF)
Recently announced by the Government; the Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) supports learners to undertake vocational education and training without fees.
The TTAF will cover fees from 1 July 2020 until 31 December 2022 and will make a range of training and apprenticeship programmes at sub-degree level free for learners. It is targeted towards industry skill needs where demand from employers for these skills will continue to be strong, or is expected to grow, during New Zealand’s recovery period from the impacts of COVID-19.
Ara offers a large range of programmes eligible for free fees under the TTAF. This includes all our Trades programmes (with the exception of Automotive), our Health and Wellbeing Certificate and our Diplomas in Engineering, Architectural Studies, Construction and Quantity Surveying and more.
