Semester or Academic Year
Submit the Mount Holyoke Request to Study Abroad for your program of choice by 11:59 pm ET on the deadline that applies to you. Deadlines are firm!
Fall 2025 or Academic Year 2025-2026: Deadline of November 30, 2024 has passed.
Spring 2026: submit your Request to Study Abroad by April 18, 2025
The Spring 2026 Request to Study Abroad is now available in the new MCGI Via Study Abroad portal

Explore the 150+ MHC approved study abroad programs
If you are eligible for a need-based Laurel Fellowship, in the program search box type "Laurel Preferred" to filter for programs for which the College guarantees a Laurel Fellowship to students who are eligible and approved for the program
You can select multiple filters (e.g., country, subject areas, program type (internship, research)) in your search
Save programs to your account by clicking the the heart next to "Favorite programs" at the top of the program page
To start the Request to Study Abroad, click on "Apply now" for your program of choice. You may submit a request for one (1) program

Approval decisions will be emailed by MCGI on June 30, 2025
Fall 2026 or Academic Year 2026-2027: submit your Request to Study Abroad by November 30, 2025
The Request to Study Abroad for Fall 2026 or AY 2026-27 will become available by late August 2025.
Decisions will be emailed by MCGI on January 31, 2026
For students applying to a college at Oxford University or the MHC Joint BA/MA Program in Geneva this is your deadline. Decisions for these are emailed in mid-December to allow for approved students to meet these programs' January application deadlines.
If you receive need-based financial aid, MCGI will automatically consider you for a need-based Laurel Fellowship.
Summer or Short Term
Students applying for in-person short-term or summer programs for credit, are required to apply for approval from the McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives via the steps outlined here: No later than 2 months prior to start date of program
