Notes/questions on each reading:
Genetic Algorithms by Stephanie Forrest 1996
Moseley 2016 - Keys to Play - on dice games
Takeaways from the readings.
For this waypoint, you'll be looking at two readings to prepare us for the case study on generative algorithms. Both readings can be found on Ed resources under Waypoint 3.
Take 30-45 minutes for each of these two readings, jotting down notes or questions as you go. Record these on your website.
Genetic Algorithms by Stephanie Forrest 1996
Moseley 2016 - Keys to Play - on dice games
Synthesize your takeways from these readings, using these prompts to guide you:
How might each reading define the word "algorithm"? Are there similarities or differences?
How invested/interested are you in the approaches? What could be impacting this?
Would you be able to explain to someone else what the algorithms are about?
Your takeaways can take the form of:
2-3 paragraphs of written prose
bullet lists
