the Ranger Uranium mine is located in the Alligator River Region of the Northern Territory 230km from Darwin. The ranger mine is 78.6 square kilometers and the Kakadu national park is 19800 square kilometers. At the ranger uranium mine they mine uranium. The orebody was discovered late 1969, and the mine commenced their operation in 1980, reaching the full production of uranium oxide in 1981 and ceased the stockpile processing on 8 January 2021. The Energy Resources of Australia (era) owns the ranger mine in the northern territory near the town Jabiru. The public company owned more than 86.33% by Rio Tinto Group, then the remainder held by the public of Jabiru. The Uranium mined at Ranger was sold for the ue of nuclear power stations in Japan, South Korea, China, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the United States.
