PRIDE Presentations

All graduating students must complete a PRIDE Presentation in May of their senior year. This presentation allows students to meet the state mandate of having a High School and Beyond Plan. Students will work on this presentation throughout their senior year in PRIDE 101.

What exactly do I have to do?

Students need to create a google slides presentation discussing his/her high school and beyond plan. All of the detailed information can be found on this website.  

PRIDE Presentations will be presented on Friday, May 24

All seniors will present on Friday, May 24. Students will present in front of a panel of 3-5 staff members.  Students who have a job or off campus commitments are STILL required to present on this day.


How will I get help on this presentation?

All staff members are ready to help and students can email any of their teachers or counselors with questions. Students enrolled in PRIDE will be given time to work on this presentation during PRIDE class.


Where are the materials I need to work on this presentation?

All materials are available on the PRIDE Presentation website. Students are also encouraged to use Google Classroom which also contains all the materials.


I work with Ms. Whitson, , Ms. Martens, Mr. Johnson, or Mr. Goodwin, will I get the help I need to complete this presentation?

Your teachers are ready to support all students who need accommodations or modifications. You can email any of them with your concerns or questions.


If I need help with the evidence, how do I get that help?

Counselors and teachers are ready to help support you. Reach out to your school counselor any senior PRIDE 101 teacher for assistance!


How will the presentation be graded?

Each member of the staff panel will be using the PRIDE Presentation rubric to assess your presentation.  Panelist scores will be averaged.  Students must score a 15 or higher to make standard on their presentation.


What if I don’t pass the presentation?

Students must pass the presentation to graduate.  Students who do not receive a standard score after their first submission will work with their PRIDE teacher or counselors to make improvements and re-submit.
