Student Clearances

All Education students are required to obtain their state and federal clearances as well as Mandated Reporter Training and TB test in their freshman year prior to any classroom observations or projects. These clearances are valid for 5 years and may be used by the student outside the confines of the classroom as necessary during that time period.

Prior to student teaching during the senior year, students are required to renew all clearances. The process for renewing clearances is the same as obtaining the initial clearances during the first year of studies. 

All clearances are to be submitted through Ms. Lori Noye (lnoye@mtaloy.edu), Administrative Assistant for the School of Business, Arts & Sciences.

Payment Codes vs. Self Pay

Students not enrolled in EDUC 225 will not receive payment codes for clearances as they will not have paid the course fee that covers these codes. The process for obtaining clearances is the same, but students will be responsible for the cost of their clearances. Please see the clearance guide linked below for further instructions.
