All Education students are required to obtain their state and federal clearances as well as Mandated Reporter Training and TB test in their freshman year prior to any classroom observations or projects. These clearances are valid for 5 years and may be used by the student outside the confines of the classroom as necessary during that time period.
Prior to student teaching during the senior year, students are required to renew all clearances. The process for renewing clearances is the same as obtaining the initial clearances during the first year of studies.
