The Career and Service-Learning Program was established to encourage enrolled Mount Aloysius College students and their full- or part-time employee mentors to engage in career and service-learning and conference attendance by defraying some of the costs associated with such learning experiences. Career and service-learning encompasses a multitude of projects and learning opportunities. Please refer to the Career and Service-Learning Project Examples Document. The Career and Service-Learning Committee at Mount Aloysius College offers reimbursements to support faculty in developing career and service-learning based experiential learning projects within their courses. Students can apply for reimbursement totaling $100. Faculty can apply for reimbursement totaling $200 to cover expenses for a class.
Reimbursements can be used for expenses such as supplies, equipment, software, training, communications (publicity, printing, postage, etc.), materials, supplies and travel expenses. As a condition of the reimbursement, recipients must participate in the Career and Service-Learning Symposium in April. Exceptions may apply.
Reimbursement must be approved by several parties (faculty mentor, career and service learning committee chair, and VPAA)
