Click here to find out more about the MAFLT Program:
I activate learners' natural language acquisition processes via tasks, stories, songs, and games within the constraints of the classroom. In other words, I teach Japanese as a foreign language to middle and high school students. I am a learner myself and I think the whole process is fun and fascinating. I've lived in Japan and now work and reside in Southern California.
This website highlights my work in the MAFLT program and demonstrates my foreign language teaching mastery. My intended audience includes administrators, employers, academic program leaders, and other interested language professionals. On this site, you will find evidence of my teaching philosophy, intercultural proficiency, linguistic proficiency, ability to design curricula, create assessments, reflect on my practice and more. Please be sure to take a look at my blog website: Cultivating Japanese.
