Learning Goals:

  • You will build an About Me page including your educational background, teaching experience, and other skills and hobbies.

  • You will identify, collect, and publish artifacts showcasing your teaching work.

How to build an "About Me" Page:

Assignment #2:

  1. Make sure your homepage is done from Assignment #1.

  2. Make sure you've watched my screencast above.

  3. Head over to your website and build your "About Me" page! Make sure to include info about the following:

    • Education

    • Teaching experience

    • Hobbies/Skills

    • 1-2 photos

  4. Please keep in mind that everything you post should be professional!

*If you need ideas or inspiration, look back at the examples from Unit 1!

Expectations:

  • Your home page is complete

  • You have an "About Me" page that includes information about your education, teaching experience, hobbies/skills, and 1-2 photos.

  • You have uploaded at least 1 professional photo.

Take a break and learn something new!

Check out this website and pick something new to learn. Then go to our FlipGrid page and report on what you learned and how it went.

Don't take this too seriously. Take this as an opportunity to learn a new thing you may not have made time for!

What artifacts should I include?

Assignment #3:

  1. Make sure you have watched my screencast above.

  2. Take a look at this list of possible artifacts (this is not exhaustive, nor do you need to include one of everything!)

  3. Start going through your undergraduate (or high school!) work pertaining to teaching. Pick out 7 or 8 artifacts that you think showcase your talents as a teacher.

  4. Of those 7-8 artifacts, narrow it down to 3-4. This may be difficult but try to pick artifacts that best show your work in your program so far.

Expectations:

  • You added an "Artifacts" page on your website.

  • You uploaded 3-4 artifacts that:

    • showcase your talents as a teacher

    • provide your reader a variety of examples

    • are easy to read and find on your page

  • You have uploaded at least 1 professional photo.
