Who am I?
I’m a high school English teacher who enjoys bringing creativity and personality into the classroom. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, challenged, and connected to what they’re studying. I work hard to create lessons that are engaging and meaningful, while still holding students to high expectations.
Outside of school, I’m a big Comic Con fan and love anything related to pop culture. When I’m not grading papers or planning lessons, I’m usually spending time with my two cats. When traveling, I love to visit places that have a Buc-ees!
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree, and during my very first year of teaching at Warren Consolidated Schools, I was honored to be nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2023. That experience confirmed that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. I then began my master's program with Michigan State University.
At the heart of my teaching is a belief that education should feel relevant and human. I want students to feel supported, confident, and capable in their abilities, and I aim to create a classroom environment where they can grow both academically and as human beings.
