Healing Environment Design + Analysis Lab
We envision renewed and resilient built environments as healthy dwelling places that support healing, dignity, and belonging.
About HEDA
The Healing Environment Design + Analysis (HEDA) Lab works at the intersection of environmental design, human health, and advanced technology, translating research into evidence-based design strategies.
Our Mission
Our mission is to investigate how the design and spatial qualities of built environments influence human health and well-being. By combining rigorous spatial analysis with advanced design technologies, including biometric sensing, immersive simulation, and mixed-methods evaluation, we generate actionable evidence to improve healing-centered, inclusive design across healthcare and rehabilitation facilities, hospitality and retail environments, and community and public-service settings.
