Write a letter
Prompt: Your uncle HĂ©ctor is a plantation owner in Guatemala. Write a letter to him reflecting what you have learned in this unit and your concerns/recommendations for him.
Stage a protest
Students will create a peaceful protest to bring awareness to the situation in Guatemala. Have students create posters with visual representations, design chants for the protestors, and prepare individual statements of 2-3 sentences in Spanish stating their concerns to a news reporter.
