Major Assignments: Language Learning Autobiography, Class Observation, Textbook Review, Teaching Philosophy.

FLT 860 Foreign/Second Language Acquisition

Major Assignments: Research Article Critique (presentation), Classroom Research Project, Cumulative Reviews.

FLT 815 Teaching Culture in Foreign Language Courses

Major Assignments: Cross-Cultural Autobiography, Intercultural Activity Designs, Observation of Culture in the Classroom, Ethnographic Investigation.

FLT 841 Topics: Sociolinguistics and Spoken Language

Major Assignments: Language Variation Presentation, Pragmatics Lesson Plan, Classroom Language Analysis, Language Policy Paper

FLT 841 Topics: Literacy in a Foreign Language

Major Assignments: Ethnographic Observation of Literacy, Current Article Presentation, Reading and Vocabulary Lesson Plan, Writing Task Design and Rationale.
