Motorcycle Units

Motor Units should make contact with Sgt. Tom Pappas at the contact information above with regard to the staging of equipment and trailers.

There will be a briefing on Tuesday morning at 0800 hours at the Italian Heritage Center, 40 Westland Avenue, Portland, prior to departure at 0830 hours. Units will ride in formation to pick up Detective Benjamin J. Campbell from the Italian Heritage Center to the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home at 1024 Broadway in South Portland. All Motor Units are expected to be at the funeral home at 0915 hours. From here units will depart promptly at 1030 hours with Detective Benjamin J. Campbell escorting him to the Cross Insurance Arena. Units will assemble in formation on the Spring Street side of the Cross Insurance Arena to prepare for the rendering of honors as Detective Benjamin J. Campbell is carried into the arena by the Maine State Police Honor Guard.

Motor Units will park on Center Street as directed during the briefing and attend the ceremony.

20 Minutes prior to the completion of the service, Motor Units will assemble under the direction of Cpl. Tom Fiske/or his designee at the parked motors on Center Street. Motor Units will render final honors to Detective Benjamin J. Campbell and escort him in formation on to Interstate 295 northbound where they will depart Interstate 295 at Exit 10. Motor Units will be dismissed at this time. This final leg may change according to family wishes. Please be flexible. Please check back for any updates and maps which will be forthcoming from incident command.

All Motor Units are expected to vacate the Italian Heritage Center by 1700 hours on April 9^th.
