A: The first thing you will need to do is to discuss with your counselor with class or classes you will be able to take. Next, check out the courses that are offered and then finally visit the registration page to begin registering for your course.
Q: How many courses can I take during the summer?
A: You will be able to take at most 2 courses.
Q: Is there a cost to take classes through LTEC?
A: Yes, classes are $25 per class if you are a MSDLT student and $50 per class if you are not an MSDLT student.
Q: When do classes begin?
A: Classes begin Monday June 4, 2018.
Q: When do classes conclude?
A: ALL course work including final exams must be completed by midnight on July 19th. Teachers are required to turn in their grades by midnight on July 20.
Q: Do I have to complete a certain amount of assignments each day?
A: No, that is the great part about online courses. You can work at your own pace. Your teach will provide you will a pacing guide, which will help you plan your time.
Q: Are there any deadlines for work completion that I should be aware of?
A: You need to have 20% of the course work completed by Friday June 18th to stay in the course. If you have not met this 20% deadline, which will be marked on your pacing guide, you will be dropped from the course.
Q: What do I do if I want to drop a course?
A: If you decide you would like to drop a course you will need to complete a help desk ticket stating you would like to drop a course.
Q: If I drop a course do I get a refund?
A: If you drop the course before June 15 you will receive a full refund.
Q: How long do I have to pay for my course?
A: If you have not paid for your course by June 11th you will be dropped from the course.
Q: Do I need a Chrome book to complete the course?
A: No, you do not need a chrome book for the course. You can use any device to complete the course including your phone?
Q: Can I pick up a Chrome book from the school to use?
A: Yes, you can pick up a Chrome book from either LCHS or LNHS depending on the school you will attend in the fall. Only current MSDLT students will be able to pick up a Chromebook for use during the summer.
Q: Can I just keep the Chromebook I used during the school year?
A: When students turn in their Chromebook at the end of the school year, they will be able to keep their Chromebook for the summer once it has been verified they are taking an MSDLT Summer Class and that they have the correct Chromebook and charger. Students will then turn the Chromebook and charger in after your exams the week of July 16 - July 20.
Q: What do I do with my Chrome book if I drop a course?
A: If you are unable to complete a course, you will need to return the Chromebook to the appropriate school treasurer so it can be removed from your account.
Q: How do I contact my teacher?
A: Your teacher's contact information should be posted on the course homepage. This will include email, a phone number and their office hours.
Q: What do I do if I will not be in town during final exam week. Will there be an alternate time I can take my final?
A: You will need to make arrangements with your teacher to take the final exam early. Remember all course work, including finals must be completed by July 20th.
Q: If I am not a Lawrence Township student, how do I get my grades sent to my home school?
