SkillsUSA is the #1 workforce development organization for students, and we are excited to welcome you to our McLoughlin SkillsUSA chapter! Through SkillsUSA, we empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members. 

If your child will be enrolled in Fab Lab during the 2024-25 school year, they will have an opportunity to be a member of SkillsUSA. This is a national student organization that teaches leadership and employability skills to help students succeed — both on the job and in life. Through involvement in SkillsUSA, students will develop personal skills, workplace skills, and technical skills grounded in academics that set them apart from their peers.

Middle school students, joining SkillsUSA will open a world of future career opportunities you never knew existed, and that could ignite a passion for a specific skill you may want to pursue as a career someday. You’ll also begin to develop the leadership skills that will set you up for success in high school and life in general. All the while, you’ll make new friends, experience new things, grow in exciting new ways … and have a ton of fun!

Active SkillsUSA members will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities, such as leadership, SkillsUSA championship competitions, professional development, community service, fundraising, public relations, and social activities.  

Meetings are in Room 111 on Fridays from 3:30-5:30pm.
