These courses enable students to begin acquiring proficiency in Spanish through a linguistic, communicative, and cultural approach to language learning. Emphasis is placed on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as acquiring the fundamentals of applied grammar. Cultural connections and real-world language use are integrated throughout the sequence.
