Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, real estate emperor, and now a man on trial for the entire world to see. After becoming President of the United States, his fall from grace was quick and apparent to the entire world. From him building a huge wall around Mexico, to leading a coup against the country he was meant to lead.
Former President Trump is currently on trial in New York City where if the ruling stands, he could lose his most valuable asset in New York. The 68-floor building that has been up for 50 years, the Trump Tower represents the Trump empire. A building on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, houses 263 residences, 3 dining facilities, and one of NYC's largest all-glass structures. It represents the Trump family's large empire. If he loses the trial, Trump tower will be taken away from him. Currently, he is on the brink of falling straight into jail, as he has been accused of crimes for inflating the value of his properties, along with other crimes committed across the country.
Beginning on October 2, 2023 continuing to the present day in NYC, a trial will decide the fate of this country and the Trump empire. Currently, in the trial, Donald Trump has just been fined $10,000 for violating a gag order. He was meant not to speak about this trial and anyone in it, which he violated twice. He was previously given this gag order after trashing Judge Engoron’s law clerk on social media. In this social media post, he called the clerk “Schumer’s girlfriend” and proceeded to say that he was running this case against him. The first time, he was charged about $5000 for posting that online, and the next time it was for talking to reporters about the trial. Judge Engoron also said that fining Trump for fraudulent profits is another possible solution, meaning he could be charged more fines. For the first time in this entire trial, Donald Trump Jr. is entering the courthouse to testify on behalf of his father.
Since the beginning of his presidency, many citizens across America have prayed for his downfall. The entire world was surprised about the fact that a man with no government or military experience became the President of the United States. He also used his presidential status as a microphone for his criticism of those he held a grudge against. In his final days of presidency, he was impeached on two different occasions: for leading a coup on the capitol building, and abuse of power and obstruction of congress. In his time as president, he has done more harm than good for the country he was meant to lead. For example, Kaiden Sanni from 706 said “He’s homophobic, sexist, and I’m half gay so that’s not cool.”
Despite all of these factors, Donald Trump still attempts to run for president. He is currently facing 40 different charges, including 4 indictments yet still has the pride to try to run for presidency once again. As seen by multiple people across America, his presidency did not have that much support. His presidential campaign victory brought outrage throughout the country. Out of the qualified people that could've won, a man with no experience in the government won an election that would decide the leader of this country for the next four years. Now Trump running for re-election once again despite all of this is incomprehensibly idiotic. After causing chaos in the capital, trying to build a wall to block out an entire country, and multiple other atrocities, the one thing that has stayed constant throughout this trial is his persistence to regain his office as Commander-in-Chief.
The one thing that is known by all citizens of America is the importance of this trial. How high does the justice system stand against those in power? This trial will determine what is next for the United States. How will this affect the next presidential run and the stability of this country as a whole?`
