Elon Musk Buys Twitter

Elon Musk bought Twitter in late October, so it’s old news, but not many people know what he is actively doing with it and the effects of what he is doing to the company. Let’s review some facts and decide if Elon is improving or impairing it.

To date, many Twitter employees and representatives have stated that Elon Musk has fired over 4,000 developers, representatives, engineers, and other important people in the company. This has caused many former employees to no longer have access to their main source of income and highly impacted their lives in a negative way. According to NBC News, Elon Musk has “fired at least one engineer who publicly criticized him on Twitter” and “let go of about half of Twitter employees in a bid to cut costs.” So far, Musk’s motivation isn’t looking good for Twitter.

It’s clear that Elon Musk taking over Twitter has made many poor employees lose their jobs for no reason, but what else? According to rollingstone.com, many celebrities have left and stopped using Twitter. These celebrities include Jim Carrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Trent Reznor, Shonda Rhimes, Gigi Hadid, Toni Braxton, and many more. Plus, Musk brought back a lot of famous people that have previously been banned for many reasons, including Donald Trump and Andrew Tate! Not only that, but the verification checkmark is now buyable for $7.99 per month, making it now virtually useless. This has led to even more fake accounts and fake news. Many people are angry at Musk for all these drastic actions and are rebelling against him.
