In the midst of this crisis, something amazing has been happening. Something rainbow.
Indeed, people have begun posting drawings of rainbows in their windows all over the globe! This trend started in Italy, where individuals were posting messages in their window saying "tutto andra' bene," which means, “everything will turn out okay.” Often accompanying these messages were drawings of rainbows. In fact, children were the ones who started this trend to bring hope in a bad time. Even google maps has hopped on the trend, creating a group called the Rainbow Connection. It shows you where all the nearest rainbows are! But in each country, the meaning is a little different. In the UK it means, “thank you to all the hardworking medical professionals.” In Italy it is more of a “have hope, things will get better.” In the United States, it’s mainly children trying to bring joy to everyone and say that you are not alone. Altogether, the Rainbow Connection is truly inspiring.
