Everyone at MS447 has a talent. Everyone is creative in their own special way. I wanted to acknowledge Ms447 students so I decided to write an article called “MS447 Hidden Talent.” My article addresses 6th, 7th and 8th graders who share one of their hidden talents that many at MS447 may not know about. I hope this article can encourage to everyone to tap into your creativity.
Milo Durrance (8th): Sewing
"This is my collection of felt mice. I’ve been making them since last summer. I do commissions mostly, but there are four which are permanently mine. They are all hand sewn and have an outfit. Sewing tiny clothing has given me a much better understanding of tailoring and pattern making than I had before making these mice."
Asher Cohen (7th): Stand up comedy
"I do monthly comedy shows at the Gotham Comedy Club. So Winning!!"
Landon Taylor(6th): Writer
"Well, I wrote Jiffy because I was bored. I had just gotten my assignment back from my teacher, and she told me personally that my writing is incredible and even wrote in my yearbook that she can’t wait to read my very first published story. When I got to middle school, I was a new kid like everyone else and alone. So, I started writing stories. Jiffy was my first story written, and I really loved the idea and only showed it to two people in my school. I won’t mention their name but they know who they are. Anyway, This is why I wrote Jiffy. Keep a lookout in the future for this story to be published!"
