Loki Season two, is one of the most recent and successful Marvel projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Season two of Loki is the second part of the hit Marvel television series Loki, this was seen as one of the best comic book adaptations that came out this year.
When the first season of Loki came out, it was one of the first marvel products that came out after the fan favorite marvel film, Avengers Endgame, putting it under pressure to be as good as Endgame. In its first season, on rotten tomatoes it had a 92% tomatometer score and 90% audience score, further reflecting the absolute marvel that is Loki. The first season gave us an insight as to what happened to the version of Loki in Avengers Endgame, explaining how the (TVA) Time Variance Authority has had a hand in many major events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, keeping the timeline intact so all events happen the way it has so far. The creation of Loki also made a show that sets up for the rest of the Multiverse Saga, with Sylvie killing He Who Remains, letting loose the multiverse and thousands of malevolent versions of himself loose. An ending leaving Marvel fans on the edge of their seats, wondering what will happen next.
Loki has had a major impact on how the MCU has been led so far, and will continue to affect different aspects of Marvel. What If, Season one and two have shown the large aspects of how Loki impacted the overall plot of the MCU. It gave us a glimpse into the aftermath of Loki season one, guiding us through the newfound multiverse and all of its complexities. This didn’t stop at What If, as Marvel productions have shown the ripple effects of Loki such as Spider-Man No Way Home, bringing all three live action Spider-Men together in one movie. Similarly, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania was able to introduce us to Kang The Conqueror, giving us an insight to the main villain of the Multiverse Saga.
Loki Season 2 arrival was incredibly well received, with many fans ecstatic for its return. The fans reaction to the season itself was in Mr. Frantzis’s words “It started ok, then in the middle it started to drag on a little bit, and then it ended really well.” The season started out well, with us seeing the aftermath of the season one finale, and what happened to Sylvie, the TVA, and the introduction to time slipping. At the end of the series, they were able to give us a conclusion that gave us a fulfilling sacrifice. With the temporal loom failing and the multiverse on the line, Loki had to make an incredible sacrifice. Loki becomes the God of Stories, holding all of the temporal branches together for all eternity, never being able to see his friends again and fulfilling his glorious purpose.
With Loki’s conclusion, it marks the end of the most successful and important Marvel Cinematic Universe TV Show. This show has led the way for the rest of the Multiverse Saga, and will continue for the foreseeable future of the MCU. So do yourself a favor and stream Loki season two on Disney+!
