It is the last Scientist of the Month for the 2017/2018 school year. While this is very exciting, it is also a little sad for me. This is my favorite day of the month and I love being able to share this with the MSJH students.

The Scientist of the Month for May is Elizabeth Blackwell, the very first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States! It was a kind of family affair as well, because her sister Emily was the third woman to receive her medical degree.
