George Washington Carver.pdf

Born into slavery in 1861 and passing away with more than $600,000 to his name, George Washington Carver truly lived his American Dream.

He helped farmers restore nitrogen to their soil after it was depleted by cotton planting by teaching them crop rotation. The crops he recommended were not only good for the soil, but they were important for human consumption as well.

Many people know about him because of the recipes containing peanuts that he would circulate during this promotion of the rotation.
