Stephen Hawking.pdf

Our second Scientist of the Month of the spring semester is none other than the genius himself, Stephen Hawking.

Many people know his name and many know his book A Brief History of Time which spent an unprecedented, record-breaking 237 weeks on the British Sunday Times best-seller list!

Hawking has appeared in many areas of pop culture, including a Pink Floyd song, an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Big Bang Theory, and The Simpsons.

Suffering from early-onset, slow-progressing form of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Hawking was diagnosed in 1963. He now controls his communication device with his cheek muscles.
