Heart of Illinois Music Festival

This Music Festival is sponsored by the Heart of Illinois Orff Chapter. Our organization was started over 14 years ago to provide high quality professional development for general music teachers in the Central Illinois Area. This philosophy of teaching music centers around the element of play in order to engage students. Although our school districts provide meaningful teacher education, it is not specific to our area of specialization. It is very important that we remain current in our teaching practice in order to serve our students. The money raised from this event is used annually to bring in three presenters from around the country to share their wisdom about the teaching process, exciting repertoire, skill development, differentiation, assessment and much more.
