Strategies for Success:
Time Management: Teach the importance of balancing academics, extracurriculars, and downtime. Time management is a lifelong skill.
Positive Mindset: Foster a positive outlook. Remind your child that challenges are opportunities to grow, and a positive mindset can make all the difference.
Prioritize Self-Care: Model self-care habits for your child. Emphasize the importance of taking breaks, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that bring joy and relaxation.
Resources:
Please check out our new Family Resources page for internet safety information, academic resources, and more.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to learn, support, and break the stigma. Mental health affects how we think, feel, and act. Just like physical health, it’s important to take care of our minds every day.
Students are welcome to reach out for support regarding academic concerns, peer relationships, or personal challenges. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your student's assigned school counselor, contact information below.
As always, please reach out with any questions about how to support your student -- socially, emotionally, or academically.
Together, we're here to support our students and families in every season.
💛 With gratitude,
Your Illing School Counselors
Ms. Sinsigalli, Mrs. Perez, Ms. Pacheco, and Ms. Grisko
