Immunizations have been a controversial topic in the media with many conflicting views expressed. Scientific research proves that immunizations are the key to preventing many infectious diseases and many of these diseases can have serious consequences. 

The state of Massachusetts requires specific immunizations to attend school. The only individuals who are exempt from this requirement are those with a documented religious belief or medical condition that prevents the administration of immunizations.  These exemptions must be documented annually in the school health record.
