The future of a whimsical, almost magical bookstore is uncertain after the owner dies and leaves the shop to her niece Rachel. Rachel has a job in New York City that doesn't pay her enough and a fiancé that won't stop calling. She doesn't have the time or patience to run a bookstore, so when real estate magnate Max Brewer offers her more money than she can imagine to turn the store into an apartment complex, her choice seems like a no-brainer. But as the shop works its magic on her and she gets to know the eccentric employees and clientele, she starts to wonder: Can you really put a price on a beloved community bookstore?

Brendan Dias Da Costa
Brendan Dias Da Costa
Brendan Dias Da Costa is a 9th grader at Mashpee Middle High School and a passionate actor. This is his second year performing for the Blue Falcon Theater Company and he is very excited to perform for you all. His other hobbies outside of theater include cross country, art, chorus, and hanging out with his friends. A special thanks to Mr. Zuaro and Mrs. Reynolds for being incredibly supportive and good directors. Enjoy the show!
Favorite Book: Ready Player One By: Ernest Cline: Brendan likes this book because of the rich pop culture in it and the enticing story.

Lilly Lewis
Lilly Lewis is a freshman and this is her 5th play with BFTC. In her free time she likes to listen to music and watching reruns of tv shows. She would like to thank everyone who came out to support Mashpee theater!
Favorite Book: My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell because it made me think about our modern day society.

Victoria Loud-Vermillion
Victoria Loud-Vermillion is a junior and this is her first year being apart of the Blue Falcon Theater Company. She has musical and acting experience from grades 4-8 in different districts. She loves drawing and reading while also having a great passion for music and acting. She is greatful for such a welcoming group and the great moments that will continue to be shared!
Favorite Book: The Catcher in the Rye written by J. D Slinger. This story is so intricate and unique, when it comes to the writing style, the characters, the setting, and the theme. It seems that it is a story through the eyes of a boy with a similar mind of her own. Along with similar life experiences, it introduced a level of understanding which was the reason why there was a quick love to the novel.

Eve Mayen
Eve Mayen
Eve Mayen This is Eve's 10th show with the BFTC, her first being the Wizard of Oz when she was in 3rd grade and most recent, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" in April of this year. She is currently in the 11th grade here at MMHS. In her free time she enjoys skiing, singing, acting, playing the French Horn, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog, Myrtle. Being a bookworm herself, it was a no-brainer to audition. She is so excited to bring the magic of Rachel and the bookstore to the stage. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support. She hopes that you enjoy the show and discover the magic of how the bookstore changes others for the better!
Favorite Book: The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins. In true Rachel fashion, I have no one favorite book as there are so many incredible ones. The Hunger Games are an exhilarating series that fuels my love for adventure and mystery. It is truly one of my favorite reads and would recommend it to anyone without any hesitation.

Favorite Book: My favorite book would have to be Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. Its creative writing technique, being a novel in verse, makes it exciting and interesting to read. The interpretive ending also leaves the reader with room to imagine what happens next.
Esme Milde
Esme Milde
Esme Milde: Being Esme's second year with the BFTC, she's excited she has returned as an eighth grader. This is her third production with the BFTC, having acted in "Airness" in 2022 and "You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" in 2023, and seventh production in her lifetime, her other four performances being at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Besides acting, Esme enjoys writing, running with the cross country team, playing the saxophone, playing tennis, doing robotics, and, especially, reading (yes, she's a nerd)! She hopes you enjoy the show!

Piper Milde
Piper Milde is a Senior this year, and this is her third play production with thew BFTC. In the past, she played various roles in the 2023 production of "Airness", 2022 production of "Puffs", BFTC's 2018 production of "The Little Mermaid" as an ensemble character, before taking on a lead role in the Cotuit Center for the Arts' Summer Theater Lab's "The Wizard of Cod" the same year. She also participates in sports all year, namely cross country and tennis, of which she is co-captain to both.

Gray Nash I started theater at Quashnet. I was in two plays, Alice in Wonderland and Robin hood. I enjoyed theater and decided I wanted to continue so I joined theater this year. I also play the violin and have been playing it for three years.
Favorite Book: Sir Callie and the Champions of Helston by Esme Symes-Smith. This is the current book I'm reading and my favorite right now. It is my favorite book because of its writing and how the story flows. And how it makes intense scenes and calm scenes so interesting.

Hello there person who is reading, this is my 3rd year of doing the theater program in the in school. I’ve play a bunch of character in Puffs of including Ernie Mac and Snape, D Vicious in Airness, and now a plethora of side character in this production called The Bookstore. I was also the announcer in the short play called Pout Pout Fish in Ms Fraser’s class. In robotics, DND, and art honor society… but I can’t do any of that with theater…thanks.
Favorite Book: Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen

Hayley Wenzel
Hayley Wenzel is a senior at MMHS, and this is her third year participating in Blue Falcon Theatre Company. Previously, she was in Seussical in 2020, and Puffs in 2022. Outside of theatre, she has been on the cheer team at MMHS for 6 years, and has been captain for 2 years. She is also in National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society. She is planning to go to college and major in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
Favorite Book: My favorite book is Warcross by Marie Lu. There are many reasons that this book stands out to me. It has a strong female lead, and also incorporates a lot of tech aspects, with the main plot of the book being tied into augmented reality.

Madison Wright
Madison Wright is an enthusiastic girl who loves theatre. She has been apart of the Airness fall play as well as the Charlie Brown Musical. Outside of BFTC productions she is in student council and AV. In her free time she enjoys watching TV series.
Favorite Book: My favorite book is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

Patrick McPherson
Patrick McPherson
Currently, I am involved with the theatre department at school, I am responsible for all booth activities that take place within the auditorium, and make sure that all small and large scale events run smoothly. I also run all large scale events in general like livestreams and large scale media productions. My past experiences are vast, I have done multiple shows with Cotuit Center For The Arts. My position there was followspot operator. I also worked in close conjunction with the lighting team and directors of the shows. My latest adventure in the theatre world was Oliver Jr. which was hosted by Drama Fun at Mashpee High. I was the lighting designer/technical support for the show. I am so excited to be apart of this show and give it my all lighting and technical wise!
