Horsepower (aka the Crew)

Horsepower is the official name for our Vocal Music crew, though you’ll often hear Stage Crew or Roadies, depending on the activity. It includes the musical stage crew and the student and adult Roadies who support Show Choir. During competition season, Roadies travel with the Show Choir groups, while Horsepower members also help behind the scenes with concerts, musical theater, and other Vocal Music productions.

Check out the musical page and look for the crew links.

Show Choir Student Roadies are the essential behind-the-scenes crew at every performance! They handle equipment, gear, and microphones, and run sound, stage, and lighting changes during competitions. Students are expected to attend the mandatory events on the show choir schedule.

Adult crew members support the students by safely loading, transporting, and unloading equipment, and by setting up and taking down risers. Adults are welcome to help at whichever events fit their schedules.

Save the date: Saturday, January 9
