As part of our International Baccalaureate program, Millard North Middle School choir students build skills in performance, music literacy, and collaboration. Learning is guided by IB Arts objectives, with achievement measured through rubrics that outline expectations for growth in both visual and performing arts.
IB-MYP is a curriculum framework for students aged 11-16, designed by the International Baccalaureate organization. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encourages students to make connections between their studies and the real world, and aims to prepare them for further education and life.
A rubric is a scoring guide or set of criteria used to assess and evaluate the quality of a student's work, like a research paper, presentation, or project. It helps clarify expectations for assignments and provides consistent feedback. Rubrics break down assignments into specific criteria and define different levels of performance for each, allowing for clear and consistent grading.
