Hi! This is my 16th year of teaching (8th at NMS), and I absolutely love middle level, especially at North! Seventh grade is my favorite age group, and I'm so excited to teach ELA & World Geography again on this team!

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with my teaching degree, and I earned my Master's in Educational Leadership from Doane College in 2016. My husband and I have two human children and occasionally a fish. We lost our Basset Hound, Oakley, last year, but you'll hear about him in class still. I love musical theatre, college football, and traveling. Parents and students, contact me any time with questions or information as we team up to make it a great year of learning!

Howdy! This is the start of my 30th year as an educator in K-8th grade. I bring my passion for math and science to North Middle School and look forward to engaging students in discovering the world around them through multiple lenses. I'm equally excited about joining the 7th grade team as I join in your experiences, learning, perspectives and connections.

My educational experiences started with spending four years in the United States Navy as an electrician. After my time in the military I attended Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. Here I graduated with my teaching degree in elementary education. This allowed me many teaching opportunities to grow my craft as an educator. I also earned my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instructional Design K-8 Science from University of Texas at Arlington. My family just welcomed our first granddaughter (McKenzie) in February. I love to be around family, spend time with our dogs, college football and time outdoors. I am excited to work with 7th grade students once again! This is my third year at Millard North Middle School as an Assistant Principal. Before that, I was a Science teacher in the Millard Public Schools district. I look forward to helping Team Melbourne and supporting students to be their best! Roll 'Stangs!
