Students registered for the following courses in the fall have required summer reading, writing, and viewing assignments: Honors English 9, Honors English 10, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, IB English HL I, IB English HL II, and IB Film SL, HLI, and HLII.

If an incoming 9th grader did not receive a copy of Lord of the Flies at his or her middle school, copies will be available for checkout at Millard North’s front office during regular business hours during the summer. Students registered for all other classes with summer assignments should visit the website for instructions on how to access required texts.

The purpose of Millard North High School's summer reading program is to provide students a chance to be part of a reading community, to foster a lifelong love of reading, and to provide authentic opportunities for enrichment and engagement.
