Relaxation techniques are useful for dealing with stress. They include breathing deeply and slowly, tensing, then relaxing all muscles, doing yoga and meditation, all while creating a calm, peaceful environment.
Healthy lifestyle choices increase the body's ability to cope with stress and anxiety. People can manage their mental health by exercising more, eating nutritious foods, and having good social connections.
Another way to cope with stress and anxiety is the 4, 3, 7 technique. The first step is, take a deep breath in for 4 seconds. (Double check that you really focus on making sure that your breath in is long enough because it will help the rest of the steps go easier.) Next, hold that breath you just took in for 3 seconds. Last, exhale for 7 seconds.
One way to release stress is to keep a small figet toy in your pocket or at your desk. Some examples are stress balls, pop-its, and figet spinners. Fidgets help release some of the tense in your muscles which is a big factor in reducing stress.
Focusing on positives rather than negatives help build positive mental health. Replacing negative self-talk with positive self-talk leads to achieving your goals and building your self-confidence.
