The typical grading scale doesn't provide very much feedback to you. We'd like the improve upon it this year. As a math team we dissected the standards given to us by the Nebraska Department of Education to write rubrics to provide both students and parents a more detailed description of what their grade means for each concept being taught this year. This will help everyone involved understand what specifics skills we see from students but also what improvements can be made. We used the rubric below as a general guide for each standard. This helps us to see what specific interventions are required. Throughout the year these will be communicated with parents, as well as students in class, the unit Newsletters, and under the resources tab. We will encourage students to reflect upon their own skills using the rubrics as we work through a learning standard. We want to empower them to take control of their own learning and push themselves to grow.
