This site is where you will log in to set up testing sessions and access reports after results are available. MPS accounts are created with your district email as your username. You will create your own password. Please use the password reminder link if you are unsure of your password. If you do not receive a password reset email, contact Darin Kelberlau.

Vocabulary

MAP = Measures of Academic Progress - NWEA MAP is now known as MAP Growth

RIT score = the scale used by MAP Growth, overall performance by subject area, an estimation of a student’s instructional level and growth.

  • Watch this MAP Growth Introduction Video for teachers. (3 minutes)

    • *Please note, in MPS classroom teachers will proctor their own classes.

    • MAP Growth - Grades 2-12

    • MAP Growth K-1

    • *Please note the sample tests will not give you an actual score, but you will get a feel for how the test items work.

Implementation

  • K - 8th grade students and additional high school students in select courses will take the Reading and Mathematics tests three times a year. Testing windows are included on the assessment calendar.

    • *9th / 10th grades -- MAP tests will be given at the beginning and end of courses.

  • MAP Growth tests will be administered by classroom teachers. Grades K - 1 take approximately 30 - 40 minutes and Grades 2 - 9 take approximately 45 - 75 minutes .

  • The intent of MAP Growth is for the classroom. This test is a classroom assessment, given by classroom teachers, for instructional purposes -- NOT for grades.

  • MAP Growth can be delivered on laptops, desktops and all iPads (NWEA MAP app).
