Engineering & Design

Welcome to Engineering & Design! In this Hexter class we will explore the Design cycle and develop a project based solution to a problem. This will begin with learning about different tools and programs that can assist the engineering & design process.  During the course of this class the students will work with a variety of equipment, some with the potential for injury. These would include, but not limited to: Drill presses, Band saw, Hand saw, 3D printers, Laser engraver/cutter, and several heating related procedures. While all of these processes are safe and supervised, alerting Parent(s)/Guardian(s) is important. It is also important that the student understands the potential for injury and they pledge to follow all safety rules and to use equipment correctly.  Additionally, students need to follow all classroom procedures. Please sign below if you agree as a student to follow all safety procedures.

Phones/watches are in bags or Lockers, NOT IN POCKETS

Not visible or heard AT ALL

Any phone/watch confiscated is taken to the office

A MAJOR write-up will be issued
