Skilled & Technical Sciences 

Welcome to STS! In this Hexter class, we will explore many different areas of technology and science. These lessons will be taught in the form of three, seven-day rotations. Each of these rotations is specifically designed to teach things like: Rocketry, Woodworking, Computer Numerical Coding processes, Flight Technology, Physics, and Electronics.  During the course of this class, the students will work with a variety of equipment, some with the potential for injury. These would include but are not limited to: Drill presses, Band saws, Hand saws, and several heating-related procedures. While all of these processes are safe and supervised, alerting Parent(s)/Guardian(s) is important. It is also important that the student understands the potential for injury and they pledge to follow all safety rules and to use equipment correctly.  Additionally, students need to follow all classroom procedures, specifically on phone use.

Phones/watches are in bags or Lockers, NOT IN POCKETS

Not visible or heard AT ALL

Any phone/watch confiscated is taken to the office

A MAJOR write-up will be issued
