Beliefs
We believe that all students can learn, and every student can succeed. Every student will be celebrated as a whole student who deserves access to an equitable learning experience. We believe that effective school counseling is a collaborative data driven process involving the entire school community. School counselors are leaders in the school, district, state, and nation.
Vision Statement
The vision of Kiewit Middle School’s counseling program is that all students maximize their potential for academic success as lifelong learners. They are strong self-advocates and positively contribute to a global society, ready for cultural experiences that extend beyond local communities. Our students possess skills to be empathetic and compassionate towards others as well as independent, resilient, and responsible adults. Students will be critical thinkers as they navigate the complexities of home, career, and diverse communities.
Kiewit Middle School, a collaborative community of students, families, and educators, guarantees to support and empower the whole child to become a responsible citizen through differentiated and rigorous instructional practices while fostering a culture of care.
