Important Weekly Updates:
The September"Trait of a Knight" is Responsibility. Bingo cards will be coming home in Friday Folders! Each Bingo is worth 1 castle coin and a "Blackout" is worth 10 castle coins.
Girls on the Run will have thier first practice on Thursday, September 3rd at 3:30pm. Students will meet by the office.
Please do not have your child bring personal sporting equipment to play with at recess. We encourage students to use the recess balls already provided. Thank you for understanding!

In Friday Folders this week you will find the responsibility bingo, spirit wear order form, and the Activities Express news paper!
5th Grade will be "Swinging for the Fences" on an all expense paid field trip to the CHI Health Arena on Tuesday, November 10th!!! More details wil be coming out soon!!
Be sure to be checking your child's planner each night to see what your child is learning and doing each day! If you provide a parent signature on the bottom, and your child shows it the following day, they will earn a castle coin!
If you have a student celebrating a birthday, they are welcome to bring store bought "birthday treats" for thier class! Please be cognizant of students who may have allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy and gluten.
Please make sure your child has tennis shoes for their PE days. Mrs. LaBanz and Mr. Wiz have PE on Tu/F. and Miss Hatt and Miss Hutchinson have PE on M/TH.
Students are encouraged to bring water bottles everyday to keep in their classroom!
Reminder: 5th grade enters and exits the front doors everyday for both arrival and dismissal. Please plan pick-up accordingly.
What are we currently learning?
Math- Students will be working on division starting in Module 2. Students would benefit from working with an adult on multidigit multidigit multiplication problems (thousands by hundreds).
ELA- Students will continue unit 1: In My Own Words: Personal narratives.
Social Studies- Students will continue learning about the constitution and the three branches of government.
Science- Students will continue exploring patterns of earth and sky in unit 1.
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 10th, 2026 from 10-2!
All expenses are paid for! Even lunch will be provided.
