Transportation
Students will be picked up from Charles Hackley Middle School via School Bus. We will return to CHMS before the school day ends.
Attire
Students are to wear their Big Red Bands Shirt, black pants, black socks, and black dress shoes.
Chaperone Assistance Needed! Duties Include:
Supervise students on the bus
Assist with guiding students to and from performance areas
Help maintain a quiet, respectful environment during performances
Provide general support to students and staff as needed

My scholar is expected to attend this required performance.
My band student will adhere to the uniform requirements listed above.
My student has permission to attend this required school-event.
We are excited to share that the Charles Hackley Middle School Mid-Winter Concert will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 7:00 PM in the Gymnasium. All middle school bands will perform, and we cannot wait to present the music our students have been working hard to prepare for you!
All students will arrive by 6:15 PM.
The performance will begin at 7:00 PM.
Performance: 25 points
Proper Uniform: 15 points
Big Red Bands shirt
Nice black pants
Black shoes
Black socks
On Time: 5 points
Concert Etiquette: 5 points
Unexcused Absence:
An alternate assignment will be sent via Google Classroom.
Due two weeks after the concert date.
May only be completed for partial credit if done properly.
Excused Absence:
Must be discussed with a director at least 48 hours in advance of the concert.
Sports practices are NOT excused absences.
Sports competitions/games ARE excused absences.
Students will be provided the alternate assignment via Google Classroom.
If completed properly, this assignment earns full credit.

We are writing to share important information about our Spring Concert, which is also the final concert of the 2025–2026 school year. The performance will take place on Thursday, May 14th at 7:00 PM in the Charles Hackley Middle School gymnasium.
Students are required to arrive at CHMS at 6:15 PM for attendance and setup. Please ensure your student arrives on time so we can begin promptly.
This concert is MANDATORY for all band students. It will count as an assessment grade and will be included as part of their final exam. Concert participation is a required component of our curriculum, and students gain essential ensemble experience through these performances.
