🚧 The Big Rig Has Arrived! 🚧

It has been a week of serious progress at Mountain Way School!   On Tuesday, November 28th, we had our bi-weekly construction meeting at which time we took some ground breaking photos to share with the community.  This was a very exciting experience as it signifies the official start of building, which commenced the next day. The VSC (Vibratory Stone Columns) rig arrived on Tuesday evening and drilling began late Wednesday afternoon.  The footprint of the addition was marked out with pink flags indicating where the 178 stone columns were to be placed. The operators of the rig spent Wednesday afternoon and most of Thursday drilling and filling the flagged spots with crushed stone columns.

The noise level of the construction has been significantly less than anticipated which has minimized disruption to the learning environment.  The children are very excited by the construction and classes have been taking "hallway field trips" down to the Kindergarten wing windows for a bird's eye view of the process.  We are grateful to the contract, Frank Fusaro of Fuscon Enterprises, who provides daily updates and photographs for us to share via our social media and blog.  Please note that a photo gallery has been added on the Blog homepage of photos documenting all of the progress thus far.

We are excited for the next phase of the project where we will start to see the building take shape.  Our MW stars are really enjoying the experience and memories are surely being made!  As always, we thank our amazing community for their unwavering support!
