How do I locate my child's G-Suite account and password?

• All student login information can be retrieved via the Genesis parent/student portal. This information can be found under the child's picture on the left hand side of the summary page.

How do I find a teacher's Google Classroom page?

• CLICK HERE to access Google Classroom. Please make sure that you are logged into your child's G-Suite Account (see previous question).

• CLICK HERE for a helpful tutorial on how to navigate Google Classroom from the student perspective. Please note that login credentials are available through our Genesis parent/student portal as explained in the previous question.

What Internet browser should I be using to access the MPSD resources?

• It is recommended that all students use the Chrome browser to access all virtual learning resources. Chrome can be loaded onto any type of device and is the default browser on a Chromebook. CLICK HERE to download Chrome.

How do I log my child into my own personal device?

• In order to effectively participate in online learning, your child will need to be signed in to the Google Chrome browser, not just the G-Suite website. Signing into the chrome browser will allow students to access essential bookmarks and other online tools. Please note that you are able to sign multiple users in your browser. When you are ready to login to the Chrome browser, follow these steps:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.

2. At the top right, click the Profile picture.

3. Click Add.

4. Choose a name and a photo.

5. Click Add.

6. A new window will open, click "Already a Chrome User? Sign In"

7. Sign in with your child's MPSD G-Suite account credentials.

What do I do if my child needs a device at home?

• If you indicated in the Home WiFi & Device Survey that you are in need of a device to support your child(ren)’s learning during our virtual learning phase, you may pick up the device at the Borough School Main Office, located at 500 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains.

• Pick-up is available on Monday, March 16th and Tuesday, March 17th between the hours of 8:30am and 3pm.

• Should you need to pick up a device, you will be asked to show identification and sign a Chromebook Sign Out Form before you are issued the device.

• All devices are expected to return with the child(ren) on the first day that schools reopen.

What if I need technology help with my child's device?
