Health Screenings
New Jersey Department of Education-Mandatory Health Screenings
In accordance with N.J.A.C 6A:16-2.2 Programs to support Student Development/Required Health Services, health screenings will be conducted for all students according to the following schedule.
Height, Weight and Blood Pressure screening shall be conducted annually for each student in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Visual Acuity screening shall be conducted biennially for students in Kindergarten through Grade 10.
Auditory Acuity screening shall be conducted annually for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 and in Grades 7 and 11.
Scoliosis screening shall be conducted biennially for students between the ages of 10 and 18.
The school nurse shall notify the parent of any student suspected of deviation from the recommended standard.

Please notify the school nurse in writing by October 1st of the school year, if you choose to have your child exempt from the mandatory health screenings. If we do not receive the Mandatory Health Screening Opt Out form by October 1, your child will be screened as mandated.
Notifique a la enfermera de la escuela por escrito antes del 1 de octubre del año escolar, si decide que su hijo esté exento de los exámenes de salud obligatorios. Si no recibimos el formulario de exclusión voluntaria del examen de salud obligatorio antes del 1 de octubre, su hijo será evaluado según lo dispuesto.
