Administration

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the principal of  Borough School. Prior to be named principal of Borough School, I served the children and community of the Morris Plains School District for seventeen years in a variety of positions including classroom teacher, co-teacher, achievement coach, team leader, curriculum writer, and athletic coach. My time in each of these roles has allowed me to have a positive impact on this community and has inspired my desire to contribute to the success of our school district in this more formal leadership capacity.  I always look forward to engaging the students, parents, and teachers in conversations about how we as a community can build on the great successes of Borough School to provide not only a first-class education, but an experience that will best prepare our students for future success no matter what path they may choose.

My experiences have fostered in me a passion for helping students reach their potential academically, while also developing strong character and emphasizing the value of citizenship.  As an educational leader, I strongly believe that by establishing a collaborative learning environment with high expectations, we will build positive relationships that support academic, social and emotional growth. I will work closely with the students, staff, and families of Borough School to achieve this goal and continue to strengthen our commitment to educational excellence.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns; or if I can help in any possible way.

Mr. Ruiz

Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Borough School. Before assuming the role of Assistant Principal, I served in many positions such as coach and supervisor of various programs, but mostly worked  as a special education teacher for 12 years. While I spent last year at Pompton Lakes High School, the majority of my career has been at Washington Middle School in Harrison, NJ. Throughout my years in education, I have acquired valuable knowledge and forged meaningful relationships with members of various communities. My aim is to share this wealth of information while maintaining an open mind and learning from the Morris Plains administration, teachers, staff, and most importantly, the children.

It is truly an honor to become a member of the Borough School family and the Morris Plains community. I am eager to commence my role and have the opportunity to meet all your children. I am excited about fully immersing myself in our school and the upcoming year.

We wholeheartedly welcome your support, involvement, and participation in our esteemed school, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with you and your student(s).
