Music Update/ Instrument and material pickup

Hello MHS Band families,

Following the Board of Ed meeting last night we have officially moved to online learning for an extended/undefined period of time. ANY STUDENT WHO DID NOT TAKE THEIR INSTRUMENT HOME MUST PICK IT UP TOMORROW 3/23 BETWEEN 10AM AND 12AM.

Please also pick up your music folders. Have a paper ready for Mrs. Zak or Mrs. Rodriguez with your locker number, combination, instrument, and folder number on it for them to retrieve your materials.

The following are direct instructions from Marco Gaylord regarding the hand-off of instruments/materials:

"All instruments or material distribution must occur outside the building - the same way we are currently distributing meals. We want to keep to establish guidelines and maintain a safe distance of 6 feet. Students/families can drive up to check-in location - give students name/information - the teacher will retrieve instrument from school and place on the table. The teacher would then back off the table - students/family leaves with the instrument. "

Please drive around to the back of MHS through the Student Parking Lot, and exit past the Ag Center to keep everything moving in an orderly fashion.

Disney Refunds

We are currently working extremely hard with the district, the City of Middletown, KSA and our insurance company on a reimbursement plan. As we have more information we will do our best to keep everyone abreast of the situation. Please do not call the travel agency so they have the ability to work with their vendors to provide us with the best options. Thank you for understanding and thank you for being patient at this time.

This years All-City Music Festival will be recorded from schools and presented in one convenient location online. No students will be performing live or at Wesleyan and all recording will be done within school or within school hours.

On this online location you will be able to see Middletown Public School Music's scope and sequence. Each school will record their selections for the festival and post them so you can see the growth from our grade school musicians to our high school performers.

New this year we may be able to fold into our All-City Music Festival the string program! More details to come as things progress.
