This year, we decided to hold our student council elections online. We sent out links to speeches that had been pre-recorded and ballots, which are linked above. These ballots were filled out in homeroom classes and showed options for each officer position.

During homecoming season, we went through multiple challenges as we attempted to plan it all through the pandemic. One obstacle was the conflict of whether to have it inside our gym or outside in the tennis courts. The problem with having it inside was that we could only sell the tickets to upperclassmen because of COVID restrictions. We decided to have it outside in order to sell to the entire student body, and in response, mother nature threw another obstacle at us. The weather forecast for the night had a chance of rain, and our DJ's equipment could not get wet, so we had to find last minute tents in case it did rain. Thankfully, it did not, and everyone had a memorable night despite students taking advantage of our free water.
Right before the dance started, our student council advisor, Ms. Pomonis, gave us some advice about how the night might look. Everyone enjoyed watching the sunset and the cool breeze that made having the dance outside comfortable. Our council sold 1,532 tickets, and for coming out of a pandemic, we are all very proud of the blood, sweat, and tears we put into it. At the end of the night, we cleaned up and put the tennis court back together.
